WTIMINC is a parameter in the fort.15 file that informs the model of the meteorological forcing time interval in seconds. For most values of NWS, WTIMINC is also the time interval between successive records of meteorological data in input files like the fort.22.

Usage Notes

For a detailed breakdown of what goes on this line in the fort.15 file, see the Supplemental Meteorological/Wind/Ice Parameters. WTIMINC is required unless you are using one of the parametric vortex models for meteorology (see NWS). WTIMINC is usually a single integer. An exception this is when NWS = -14, where the first value indicates the time interval of the GRIB2/NetCDF dataset, and the second value indicates the time interval of the OWI dataset.
